A Region for Success
EDUCATION & WORKFORCE The Central Upstate region has one of the highest concentrations of undergraduate and graduate students in the nation. The region is home to research institutions, a major medical university and numerous universities and colleges, including SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (the only college in the nation where all programs relate to natural resources and the environment). In total, the Central Upstate region boasts 35 area colleges - a strong contributing factor for a regional workforce that is 20% more educated than the national average. |
